About the Breeder
We are a retired military family with more than 25 years of dedicated service, now proudly located just outside Tallahassee, Florida. Originally from the heart of Southeast Louisiana in the Florida Parishes, we have collectively owned and trained Rottweilers for more than 20 years.
At Von Der Quinn Rottweilers, our mission is to responsibly raise and train AKC-registered Rottweilers, equipping them with the foundation and skills needed to become well-rounded, confident, and cherished members of their future families.
How did we get into breeding?
Although my wife and I are experienced pet owners, we sought the guidance of a highly respected Rottweiler breeder before producing our first litter. For many years, our primary focus was conformation showing, and we dedicated significant time to understanding and preserving the breed standard before deciding to breed.
We take great pride in responsibly raising and training Rottweilers to ensure they grow into well-rounded, confident, and beloved family companions. Our dogs are central to our daily lives, and we are proud of their accomplishments. We remain active within the breed community, regularly participating in German Sieger shows and USCA obedience trials to continue learning, improving, and supporting the breed we love.
What makes our breeding program special?
Von Der Quinn Rottweilers is a small, purpose-driven breeding program where every dog receives individual attention, hands-on socialization, and lives as a member of our household. We typically plan no more than two litters per year to ensure the highest level of care, focus, and intentionality. Our adult dogs are never housed in kennels on a daily basis and are raised to be housebroken from puppyhood. With access to our 10-acre property, they enjoy ample exercise, exploration, and stimulation—promoting confidence, strength, and overall well-being.
We do not breed simply to sell puppies. We breed with the long-term vision of improving our kennel, selecting and keeping puppies that strengthen our bloodlines. To achieve this, we travel extensively—often across multiple states—to pair our females with the best Rottweiler males available in the United States. Many of the studs we use are high-quality imports brought in to enhance genetic diversity and elevate kennel standards. While we have never repeated a breeding with the exact same pairing, we have occasionally used a stud more than once when his characteristics strongly complement a particular female.
All Von Der Quinn Rottweiler sires and dams participate in Sieger Shows and occasionally USCA obedience trials. Every member of our breeding program has completed OFA certifications.

To find certified health information on any Sire, Dam, or past dogs in the pedigree please conduct a search on Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). If the hip and elbow scores are not listed on OFA, they were completed in Germany with Allgemeiner Deutscher Rottweiler Klub (ADRK). We do not breed a Rottweiler unless it has passing scores. We also require the University of California at Davis Genetic Testing Laboratory 5 panel on all Rottweilers used in our breeding program.
Rottweiler Puppies
All Von Der Quinn Rottweiler Studs and Rottweiler females participate in Sieger Shows and occasionally USCA obedience trials. Every member of our breeding program has completed OFA certification.
Puppies are provided with AKC registration, a puppy deworming schedule, and their first set of vaccinations. Our litters are named in sequential alphabetical order (A, B, C, D, E, etc.). While you may choose any recall name for your puppy, the AKC registration name must follow our kennel naming convention: "NAME" Von Der Quinn.
